Little Shop of Horrors is a musical comedy, in which a young experimental botanist, Seymour Krelborn, discovers a rare plant at a market stall and fast becomes the most famous face on Skid Row. But the plant has unusual tastes in food - it needs human blood to survive - and when Seymour starts giving in to its demands he risks losing the fame, the fortune and the love of his life: Audrey.
Little Shop of Horrors features a host of well-known numbers, including the powerful duet 'Suddenly, Seymour', the comic 'Dentist!' and the utterly brilliant 'Don't Feed the Plants'.
It's the first production of Black Iris Events, a new company on the Island founded by Anna Welles, and it features a supremely talented local cast of actors, singers and musicians...except for the giant, man-eating plant - we're pretty sure he's from outer space!
Book and Lyrics by Howard Ashman; Music by Alan Menken.
