New Carnival's annual flagship event, The IW Mardi Gras 2024 will take place on Saturday 6th July in Ryde. Featuring over 25 local schools and community groups all telling 'The Story of Carnival' exploring the History of Carnival, Global Carnivals today, and imagining the Future of Carnival.

The parade will leave from Simeon Recreation Ground at 3pm then make its way along The Strand, up Dover Street, along Melville Street and Dover Street, down Union Street, and along the Esplanade back to Simeon Street Recreation Ground to finish. There will be a quiet zone by the Canoe Lake on the Esplanade.

This year 'Mini Mardi Gras' will be taking place at Simeon Recreation ground from 11am-2.30pm giving young children the chance to create simple costume pieces, get their faces painted, listen to stories, try out some circus skills and more!
