Living

Venue: Jenny Kerry Performing Arts Centre at Ryde School (via the Queen's Road entrance).

Outstanding remake of last month's RFC film, Ikiru. London borough civil servant Rodney Williams (Bill Nighy) finds that a simple revelation gives him purpose, creating a legacy for the next generation. Humanistic filmmaking at its best.

Directed by Oliver Hermanus and released in 2022 to critical acclaim. Screenplay by British novelist Kazuo Ishiguro, winner of the Nobel Prize and the Booker Prize. With Bill Nighy, Aimee Lou Wood, Alex Sharp, Tom Burke. Living lasts 1 hour 42 minutes and is Certificate 12.

Ryde Film Club Silver members pay £5 admission; visitors pay £7. RFC Gold members: no admission charge.
