SHANKLIN Rotary Club is set to hold its 50th annual charity sale for the second year running at Languard Holiday Park.
The event, which has been running since 1966, has grown from a simple jumble sale to a huge fundraising extravaganza that raises £20,000 or more each year.
Island residents are invited to come along to the sale and make donations by buying items from a huge range of goods such as furniture, clothing, televisions, garden tools, electrical goods, DVDs, books, children’s toys, kitchenware, fabrics, curtains and a variety of bric-a-brac items.
All money raised during the sale is eventually donated to worthy charitable causes on the Isle of Wight, nationally and overseas.

Tuesday Jan 26th to Friday Jan 29th from 10am to 4pm

Donations
During early January, Shanklin Rotary volunteers will be posting bright yellow leaflets through all Shanklin letterboxes.
These will give you useful information including what to do if you have items to be collected.
The leaflet will tell you when a Rotary van will be visiting your street, either on Sunday January 17th or on Sunday 24th, looking for the yellow leaflets, which will be the sign that you have items you wish to be collected.
If you live outside of the Shanklin area and have items you want to donate, simply call 07592 533 363 and speak to a Rotary volunteer.
A large collection of items will be up for grabs at the charity sale, with new items being added every day over the two weeks of the sale.
Don’t miss out on hundreds of fantastic bargains.
