Archaeologist Dr Ruth Waller will be giving an illustrated talk on our Medieval Island from 7 - 8.30pm. Find out what life was like for Islanders in the Medieval period from the Norman Conquest to the Battle of Bosworth in 1485. From the peasants to the Lords of the Island Manors, including the lost Medieval port town of Newtown, the impacts of the Black Death and learn about the pottery, coins and other finds left behind by our Medieval ancestors.
