An exhibition of tactile art by Lyndy Moles in collaboration with The Isle of Wight Society for the Blind.
Have you ever wished you could touch the artwork in an exhibition??
Lyndy creates heavily textured, usually white, surfaces, and for some of the pieces in this exhibition has worked with members of the Isle of Wight Society for the Blind to make new paintings with additional sensory features.
Producing artwork that is predominantly white, encourages us to appreciate the line and form that would normally be lost in our visually saturated world. Providing a moment of calm in which to just 'stand and stare', but the textured surfaces demand to be touched, adding a haptic experience and increased sensory awareness to many of the pieces in this exhibition.
Opening hours at Brading Roman Villa are 10-5 daily, free entry to art exhibition.
