The Julia Margaret Cameron Trust and Vectis Astronomical Society present an evening of star gazing and astronomical fun at Dimbola Museum & Galleries as part of Museums at Night.

Julia's great friend John Herschel was an astronomer, mathematician and photographic pioneer. Join us for an evening of short talks about John, his astronomer father William who discovered Uranus in 1781, and modern Astro imaging. There’ll be a family quiz trail, displays of Astro photography and telescopes with VAS members on hand to guide you around the night sky.

All are welcome to this free event (donations appreciated). There’ll be drinks and snacks available from the Dimbola Tea Room – make sure you wrap up warm!
