The Nightwatchmen are based on the Isle of Wight and are a progressive – collective playing music that mixes the eccentric and the whimsical from the tradition of English underground bands of the late 1960s and early 1970s, with its visions of a lost, surreal rural England, and a darker Northern European sensibility that takes in cabaret, chanson, and various folk leanings.
