Good Bye Lenin! is the 2003 award winning German film by Woofgang Becker.The context is the German reunification in 1990.

The son of a woman recovering from being in a coma for 9 months tries to protect her fragile health by keeping from her the news of the changes taking place as her beloved East Germany becomes West and Communism gives way to Capitalism.
