Want to learn to ride your motorbike more safely? This is the day for you.
The course features sessions on subjects including hazard awareness, junctions and first aid, will be followed by an on-the-road ride that is assessed by an experienced police motorcyclist with advanced skills.
BikeSafe co-ordinator Sgt Gabe Snuggs from Hampshire Constabulary’s Roads Policing Unit (RPU) said:
“Some collisions happen when drivers fail to appreciate the path and intention of a motorcyclist. Others could have been avoided by riders taking better responsibility for their own safety. It’s important that riders should continue to learn and not just stop once they have passed their test. We want motorcyclists to improve their abilities and gain more enjoyment from riding.
“People on this course will receive detailed one-to-one feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of their riding, and be joined by like-minded biking enthusiasts with a wide range of experience, skills and engine sizes."
Price The cost of the full day is £50 and runs from 8.30am until 4.30pm on Sunday, September 14 (lunch is provided). Any rider can book your place now by calling 08444 151206.
