The underwater archaeology

A charity exhibition aims to help you keep the children occupied this half-term.

The Sunken Secrets exhibition, run by the Maritime Archaeology Trust at Fort Victoria in Yarmouth, is throwing open its doors to the islands’ children to experience local heritage through its displays of finds from the seabed. There is plenty to see rain or shine at the Fort, and what’s more children can even take a quiz about the shipwrecks and prehistoric settlements!

Entry to the exhibition is free for up to two IOW resident children accompanied by a paying adult. To take advantage of the offer you’ll need to present a bill or something showing your home address.

The exhibition is open Tuesday to Saturday 11-3pm.
