Dimbola Museum and Galleries is delighted to welcome Julian Bell to the tearoom gallery. This exhibition is a selection of pictures from a sequence painted in 2015. Genesis comprises 37 images, based on the first 33 chapters of the first book of the Bible. The sequence has been printed in a book published by St Anne's Galleries (on sale at Dimbola) and there is also available an etching of the penultimate image, Jacob Wrestling.

Julian Bell is a painter who has been based in Lewes, East Sussex, for most of his four-decades career. He has also written books including Mirror of the World: A New History of Art and a biography of Vincent van Gogh.
