Freshwater and Totland Archive Group have had a good response to all the afternoon open sessions over the last few months with displays of some wonderful old photographs and documents.
This evening session in October revolves around a talk by Richard Smout(Isle of Wight Heritage Service Manager, County Records Office) on Tourism entitled 'I do like to be beside the seaside!'. It will deal with the sources for the history of tourism on the Isle of Wight from 1700-1950.
The evening will start at 7.00 pm with refreshments and a chance to view some old postcards of the area. The talk will begin at 7.30 pm
Admission £2 to include refreshments.
