The Museum of Island History will be open FREE of charge from 2.00 – 4.00pm.

Come and see man-made objects from the Island’s prehistory. Learn what life was like during the Stone Age. See and handle stone tools and learn what they would have been used for.

The museum situated in the historic Guildhall on Newport High Street displays the history of the Isle of Wight from fossils to festivals.

View the Island’s new archaeological finds and also view the exhibition of Island Art. A fine selection of watercolours and oil paintings are on display including a small selection of the Rowlandson collection which depict life on the Island in the 1790’s.
